Engineering / Tool Fabrication
The Engineering Department at Performance Forge utilizes some of the most advanced engineering programs available. Through the use of our solid modeling and CAD/CAM programs, we create extremely accurate tool design to meet your product quality needs. Some of the design programs we use regularly are: AutoCad, Solid Works, Parasolid, IGES and STEP File.
Our engineering personnel will work closely with your engineers to design and create a forging that will meet your needs and keep your overall costs to a minimum. We take great pride in “getting it right the first time”
Our press line includes three mechanical presses, which allows us the flexibility to select the equipment most efficiently suited to the manufacturing of your specific forging needs. With press sizes ranging from 150 Tons to more than 3,000 Tons, we can produce Aluminum Forgings ranging from 0.5 pounds to 100 pounds, and from 1.0 square inches in Plan-View-Area (PVA) to more than 300 square inches in PVA.
Performance Forge has many in-house operations beyond forging. Included in those additional capabilities is on-site heat treat and age. All of our equipment and processes have been ISO 9001 – 2008 Certified.
With our decades of experience processing aluminum forgings, we have become experts at tailoring a heat treat and age combination to maximize the strength properties you are looking for.
At Performance Forge, we are extremely proud to be both:
